    sliding.

Why would you want to do this on the road as a matter of interest? Were you
actually going faster then if you'd just gone round it?

Also, wouldn't you be er, more interested in the front brakes?

Err, why? Like I say, anyone can wheelie, espacially an R1, or slide the
back end - find a wet road and ride like an idiot!. It doesn't take talent.
Just wet roads and and probably stupidity to go too fast round a corner.

I do need a new hugger to match tho - the one that comes as standard is
    tiny!

Err yu huh - like I said, rather badly granted, I slid the back end round a
corner, it was stable, and I just didn't panic. It was a stable slide,
nothing to be concerned about, although I was concerned about the tyre
    grip - or lack thereof.
Front brakes on a corner!!!! I don't think so

    ?
    You said "The
brakes are a lot sharper as discovered with the back end locking up
    beautifully ) "

This doesn't say anything about corners- it sounded like you thought the
brakes were great because it locked the rear wheel.
    Hence my question.

Obviously you've not done the IAM, Andy.

Nice. And I notice further down the thread you've bought it in the one
    true colour, too :)

I find rear slides are one of those things where what you think is 6
    inches is really 1cm.

    IIRC, they're pretty effective though.

I'm not IAM but I can't tell how far the back end of my bike is
sliding. I can only tell that it's sliding. Mind you, I've never
done the 2 foot powerslide type thing. I value my plastics.

    Lozzo says...
I've got 207RRs on the 9R (thanks to Bonwick for the recommendation) and
they're great. Can't comment on how they would compare to 010s on the
same bike, cos the 010s that were on it when I got the bike were
    thoroughly fucked.

    I like them. Much grip.
