    OK, my bid for Dumb Question of the Year 2004: What actual difference does
    it make which side the spring clip is on?
    I've been trying to think it through and can't see why there would be any
    more wear and tear to the chain if it's on the inside or the outside.
    Pls explain. Ta.

  5. At a guess it doesn't but spring clips should be reserved for bicycles
    and SOB with a limited power output.
