No problem, you'd just have to pull up harder on the bars than on
    something with more power.

Ah, that'll probably be the £100 option then.

Amusing failure by Bonwick. He trundled it up and down outside the Black
Horse, with the bike entirely disregarding his efforts.

Hmmm - that might work if I was pedalling at the same time. But I
assumed that pedaling would be cheating because it would an admission
that the engine on its own had "not enough power to wheelie".

  10. In these latitudes, maybe. But on or near the Equator things might well be
    different.

  11. There's an mpeg somewhere of a BMW GS wheelying on Mount Kilimanjaro. So
I daresay you can do it on the Equator, yeah.

That'll give him more time to work on his wheelie technique.

You justify the labour costs by keeping the bike all day.
Regardless of how long the actual work takes.

And no you can't 'ride in - wait - ride out'
UNLESS you are spending huge wads of cash on new bikes each year
(without any PX) AND getting them serviced at the shop,
for this service you will pay a premium.

Ah, you've got a seriously duff mechanic then - mine is glad to get my
bike in, get the work done & then get it out of his road as quickly as
possible. Last time I got him to change my chain for me saved me money -
he charged for 30 minutes labour (took him about 20 minutes) & the total
bill was less than buying the chain on it's own from M&P would've been.
Ah, my mechanic doesn't sell bikes or spares - he services, repairs &
fettles them. Being the only decent mechanic for miles around he doesn't
advertise & believes in repeat custom and word of mouth - hence you get
    treated well.
Sounds familiar - the only bike shop within 35 miles is an Aprilia
dealer who can't get or do anything for my Aprilia.

Anyone want to buy a Pegaso?
