  2. Hm. Does Sir have a GHPOTHUF number?
Ah, but this might militate against it.

    I don't can i have one. Had a CG125[1][2] for 2 1/2 years IIRC and it was
wonderful, fully reliable, started first kick every kick. Even in the
freezing weather it refused the choke. Brilliant bike.

I've been riding with the scooterboys in Bristol this morning. Had a
meeting to go to (I'm more usually in Gloucester) and it was nice and sunny,
so I took the Z200. No gloves, no armour, no mirrors, duff brake light
etc - safety nazis would have had kittens.

Last summer I got into the habit of riding the K home from work wearing
an openface helmet a shirt, suit trousers and a pair of brogues.

On one occasion someone in the full 'sports rider' kit took it on
themselves to give me a safety lecture at a petrol station. Twat.

I'm commuting variously by pedal or petrol power at the moment, but my
outfit is the same for both, with the exception of the lid when riding
    the bandit.

Cargos, trainers, tshirt, cycling gloves and an embryonic tan. What more
    could I need?

A couple of pints of Stella down the gullet to add a bit of a rush to

No, it was jolly fun and no problem. But, I always wear an open face.

Summer is pretty special with an open face lid. I'd certainly recommend
it for 95% of the year. I have to do 100% as I haven't quite got round
to replacing my last full face of 5 years ago.

I do have a face mask to fend off the rain and hail. However, I only wore
that for the first stint out of Calais and in the UK when Platy and I
went from Horam to Folkestone (in the piss pouring rain).

Couldn't agree more, although my figure is iro 30% of the year. Mind
you, if most of my journeys were 10 miles or less I'd wear an open-face
    helmet more often.

    platypus says...
I've taken to wearing my Shark motocross lid and Progrip goggles with
light-reactive lens for my trip to work on the CeeBee. It's certainly
breezier than a full face lid and the goggles getting darker as the sun
    brightens helps too.

I didn't get to be as pretty as I am now by riding for 30 odd years with
me face exposed to wandering missiles. It is a full face yerrat every
    day for me.

  16. Ah - right. I've got some of those then - Camoflage colours - wear 'em
for changing the oil on the cages. They are good and only about 4 quid
from your local army surplus stores.

I keep thinking of getting an open-face lid, although most of the ones I try
on are a really bad fit.

I wonder if Amazon does tuits?

Nice, light, comfy and leather lined.

That's what mine is. It's survived, or more to the point I've survived,
a couple of crashes. Despite not being fully approved.

  20. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember saying
    something like:
I should jolly well think so too. You might have grazed your knee.

I trust you twatted him with your helmet?
