what sort of fuel usage should this bike have? '85 cbx750 standard except for 4into1 pipes
Standard unleaded should be okay, but premium wouldn't hurt everyone will tell you what will happen if you use optimax................. ck
when fuel was a little cheaper I used bp ulimate, highest octane rating available and got a reasonable sort of range out of a tankful. been useing random fuels and getting varied results all have been ULP have not bothered to record ks per litre but the gut feeling is better fuel milage from the ultimate to say nothing off the performance gain, I will start looking into how many extra ks or less for the price of premium
You should get between 250 and 280 km to reserve when riding around the city. About 300 to 320 to reserve when touring at about 100 to 120 km/hr. Expect a fair bit less at track days, say 200 km to reserve. Cheers, Viking
Well **** me; Viking's still alive! (And still talking about RC17s) ....and just when I thought the world had all gone to hell......... (Ladies and Gentlemen; meet the bloke who introduced me to aus.moto! No no, don't rush; there's plenty of rocks for everyone!)
What's he doing here.. shouldn't he be over in the Icelandic thread? Never mind the rocks... when I met him he was throwing bowling balls in the middle of the desert. Nev..
And a fine job he did of it, too! BTH (He also took photos of me disassembling my bike in the middle of the desert...)
Yeah, I'm still alive. I just don't read aus.moto as much as I used to. All I want to know is what have you done to Sam? I haven't seen her here for a very, very long time... Cheers, Viking Oh, BTW Clem, I think I still owe you a beer or two for that magazine article you sent me all those years ago.
Icelandic thread?? Oooohh.... Miss Iceland. Bye! And hassling BT about the drinks he was consuming in the pub. Viking
: [...] Has Cass put up that photo yet? The one that you didn't see me bring to your housewarming..... *grin* Viking
~ I'm sure you've bought plenty of people beers and plenty of people have bought me beers since then Steve, so the karma's rebalanced! Cheers ..... Clem
