  1. Hi all,

Anyone able to recommend a training establishment to get someone
through a CBT vaguely around Bedford?

You're jumping to an incorrect conclusion, based on inadequate
    information. Well done.

No no no , thats not what i meant but i can see how you read it.
Basically i already did my cbt, its about to run out and i need to do it
again, last time i did it was somewhere in aylesbury i think but this is
only 2 miles away from the front door. :)

Why don't you just take your test? It's got to be cheaper in the long
run than resitting the CBT every 2 years. Prolly be cheaper insurance
as well as you won't be on a provisional licence.

Im not the first and im sure i wont be the last, basically I never really
    got round to it.
Great plans etc but hey ho there you go.

    Plan now is, October, CBT.
November, hazard perception and theory test.
December, put in for the restricted test.

The place I did DAS charges about £125 for CBT, and £575 for DAS. So in
strict cash terms it'd take a decade to make DAS better value.

OTOH DAS means you can ride summat that's easier to ride and better balanced
    than a 125...

Aye, and i thought that there was a limit to how many times you can take
    your cbt anyway?
Oh as for 125s, the T5s reasonably well balanced and bloody nippy when
    filtering :)

  11. she's 17, she only needs her CBT so she can ride the 125 I'm in the
process of buying to get to and from college rather than spend almost
2 hours each way for a ten mile journey.
yeah but then she might want to borrow the trumpet!

Whilst I did my actual bike test in Leighton Buzzard, my CBT was done in
Aylesbury with a most excellent chap (who also CBT'd my lad).

E Mail me if you want his number.

Yebbut DP has plenty of riding experience and would be doing a
restricted licence to ride his scooter. So it probably wouldn't cost
    much more than a CBT.

The place in wooton is charging me £75, tenner off for using my own scoot, I
still have to shell out for the hazard perception and theory whatever that
is and then go for my restricted test, about £47 IIRC, or about an extra
tenner if i do it on a saturday! Luckily, I do shifts (when im there) so a
mid week one aint a problem for me.

I am guessing Ill pass the test second time unless i get a real ****, and
the advantage of the T5 is that its the only scooter recognised for taking
your restricted test on and thats what ill be riding everyday :)

That'll teach me to read the whole thing before replying ;o)

    Best of luck.

I guess I was fortunate, doing me test on the day after it (a) pizt down and
    (b) howled a gale, so there were two hundred and ninety-one different kinds
of sh!t on the road, and I think the tester took pity on me...
