CBR600 - voltage out of alternator?

Evening chaps. My battery isn't charging so I've done a few checks,
all things currently point to the reg/rec unit. But before I go ahead
and buy a new reg / rec I want to make sure the AC voltage I'm reading
out of the alternator is good. I'm reading 50-51 AC volts at around
5000 revs. At idle, 1000 revs, it's about 11-14 AC volts.

    Sound about right?

Forgot to say, I checked all three sequences and each output the same
    voltage (50-51 at 5K revs).

  3. regulator should be kicking out something around th14 volt mark any lower
and it wont charge your battery much higher and it will fry your battery

alternator voltage will vary thats why its regulated

The OP is quoting the no-load AC voltage, which could well be up at
that level. Sounds fine to me.

It's in the right ballpark for a no-load voltage IWHT, especially if
all three phases read the same.

Have you made sure that the alternator resistance is nice and low and
that it's not shorted to earth too?

That's a good PDF that, a copy saved, thanks.
Aye I checked the resistance of the phases from the alternator and
compared all readings against figures in the haynes manual, all looked
    good.

    Thanks for your help.

    Good to hear, thanks Pip.
Aye all readings were good and compared well with figures in the haynes
    manual.

Looks like reg / rect is the problem then.
