CBR1100 changes

    Hi y'all,

    Well I just sold the ZX12. Guy rang up from Kingaroy (3 hrs north-west) and
    said he'd be down the next day to buy it. Sure enough, this nice fella and
    his wife turned up at work. He took the bike for a 5 minute ride, came back
    and paid cash on the spot. Everything went well but now I miss the
    bike...... sob.

    But on to the question: Ever since a mate of mine at Rising Sun Honda gave
    me a CBR1100xx for a day I have really liked the bike. In fact, the day I
    bought the ZX12 I went first to Shogun Honda to buy a Blackbird, but the
    salesman there lost me/the sale altogether and I wandered down to Whales.
    Now that I have started looking at the CBR again, it doesn't look like
    anything, including the colour choices, has changed since 1999/2000. Anyone
    here in the know about what major differences and/or improvements have
    happened in the last 5 years or hasn't there been any?

    I think the 99/00 model was already fuel injected.
    Later models had...
    A taller screen.
    Digital dash.
    A better combined braking system.
    Catalytic converter
    Ignition Security System

    Correct.

    The '05 has hideous two-tone colours, so get an '04 at $16K ride away while
    you can.

    In Brisbane the guys at Pro Honda seem to have the best rap.

    ah-ha..... I stopped at Pro Honda yesterday arvo and they seemed to be
    really pushing me to buy one of the two blue ones they had. I didn't know
    there was a new model coming out..... Apart from the 2-tone colour, what
    other differences are there? Any sites have pics of the new colour schemes
    yet?

    the new model is ment to be a vfr1200 set to come in 2007
