    double muffler under the tailpiece
I'm sure I could detect a touch of cynicism in there somewhere Clem. :)

all is well except the tail and i don't mean under seat pipes. personally i
think under seat pipes are great. makes the bike look neat & tidy. was
hoping for a v4 though. can't wait for the naked version of the sp2! hang
on.. that's not out till 05. i think that one will sport under seat pipes
    too :)

  5. A V-4 would never be called CB thats reserved for inline Hondas if you
discount the singles. V-4s are VF whatevers.

    Forward?
He said in a row. That would suggest at right angles to the frame.

yeah, but prior to the official release, its exact desgination was still
    unknown.

  9. A row implies a line running through at least 2 objects. A single point is
_not_ enough to define a line in any space with 2 or more dimensions in
    other words ;-)

We were talking about a single cylinder engine in a motorcycle which
has spatial dimensions. Unlike a point.

A single 'in line' would be as in Zebee's 250 BMW. 'In a row' would be
at right angles to that, with the crankshaft across the frame.

    What was the point again?

Back when it was only used on the tame bikes I thought it stood for "Commuter Bike".....

  13. So... you are really saying that single cylinder motorcycles are pointless
    *smile*
I can't really agree with that... I would say longitudinally mounted or
    mounted across the frame.

The point of all the meanings below is they all have more than _1_ thing :)

    row
    // noun
    1. a number of persons or things arranged in a line, especially a straight
    line.
    2. a line of adjacent seats facing the same way, as in a theatre.
    3. a street, especially a narrow one, formed by two continuous lines of
    buildings.
    4. Music tone row. [Middle English, from Old English raw]

Unless they're desirable singles, like BSA's, Velocette 500's, or

You're going on about that point again. How can you have a 'point of
all' if a point is a singularity?

So basically the CB250RS is a point - not a single?
    or a pointless??

I have seen pictures of her, and, from what I remember, she seems

Why, one does have to wonder, did she end up with the name Cameron?

  19. Someone made a comment that he was disappointed that the new Honda CBR1000
whateverRRRRRRR(Fireblade replacement) was not a V4, I made the statement
that it was unlikely that it would be called a CBanything if it was a V4 as
Honda CBwhatevers are all inline engines, excepting the singles (how can a
single be inline if it has nothing to line up with). And then as usual here
the thread just went wherever it went.

But are the CB( whatever that stands for) motors called "inline" or
    "transverse" motors?

    There lies the problem

So you can have a transverse single but not an inline single ?
