As title.... anyone had one / got one ? What's it like to live with
    / tour with ?
Any niggles / problems / points to be careful to check ?
Is there a better (taller/wider) screen available as most seem to be
    little different to stock

    Cheers,

    That's fucking ugly.

Although, if it's anything like a mate's CB1000 "Big One" then it will be
a competent, fast but dull bike.

I've ridden one. It feels sanitised.

Safe, planted, secure, comfortable, quick if not fast. Soulless. Probably a
paragon of reliability and ease of riding virtues. Not a machine that made
    me smile much.

Personally I'd go for a Hornet 900 or Bandit 1200 or Fazer thou. All of
which made me grin like a loon. All of which are at least equally capable
    of the touring aspect.

If you are buying new, seriously consider the Bandit 1250. Not as much fun
as a B12, but a stonkingly good bike to ride, IMO+E.

The CBF is probably an equally brilliant bike, but I couldn't be arsed to
find out. Litre bikes should elicit at least one chuckle per three corners,
not a "Yeah, it's alright that. Smooth innit. Comfy" when you hand it back
to its owner. 2006 model. Maybe the new one is better?

The Fazer Thou ( ThunderAce engined one ) got a "**** me!, thats brilliant!"
    by comparison.
