Pah, don't be comparing us to the Porridge Wogs.

  3. Good the original out-bid bidder is having it. Sounds a decent
    sort, as well.

  4. hmmm. wonder what your legal position is in that case? If you've had
payment, the goods are his, perhaps you should charge for storage?

Let's wait and see, shall we?

Curiously, when I bought the thing, I was just outbid at the last
minute by a low-feedback buyer, and he too dropped out of the running,
infuriating the seller and meaning I got it.

There seems to be a group of the twonks.

<snip nice tale of Ebay skullduggery>

I'm still pleased at the result I got last week with the Scouser who
tried every trick in the book to avoid payment, then started
threatening me, and finally wound up bidding up my auctions as an
    irritant.

I got him canned *plus* two other accounts that he was using. I'd
expected one, maybe two, but all three was a nice surprise. It took two
or three days to happen - I think Ebay went very, very carefully
through all three (it looked as if there was some shill bidding going
on as well) and obviously unearthed a whole can of worms.

Three accounts nailed at once. Serves the cnut right.

Trouble is, there are loads of people out there who just don't believe
the Ebay rules apply to them. "I still don't have to buy it if I don't
want it - and what are you going to do about it?" sort of thing.
