Most of the work this week has been rebuilding the cylinder head, I
still don't know why Honda designed a two piece cam when you have to
drift 2 of the inner bearings through the outer housings before fitting
to the inner housing, recipe for bearing damage. Trying to fit the cam
chain was very frustrating and needed a few goes. Needs a new cam chain
tensioner but they go for about 100 quid, so I'll go for a replacement
    roller from ebay.

Battery in and a bit of wiring tidy up as well.

Also cleaned the garage a bit now the engines not cluttering up the
    place.

Lost the rev counter drive, put it "somewhere safe" when I took it out
    of the cylinder cover.

  2. Looks good, does that. Lovely chrome panels. Were they new or rechromed?
    Ah. I've done that before.

  3. Rechromed, they'd look a lot nicer if I could find some NOS kneepads to
    go with them.

  4. Ngh, that's already been pointed out (and corrected) on the honda305
forum. I've also swapped round a top bolt and checked the L/R alignment
    of the footpegs.

  5. Hah - that's a keeper. And a proper keeper, not a Nige keeper or a TOG
    keeper.

  6. Oi! I have keepers, I'll have you know, young fellermelad. Think of the
    400 Four or the Ducati.
