    Hi

    I have this CB Sevenfifty, RC42, its a 93 model, like all 90's CB750
it has 73 ponies. I know the CBX750 had this engine, the CB is based
on it, but is detuned, the CBX had 91 stock ponies. I've cross checked
engine data, and everything is the same, except for gear box, the CB
has 5 gears, and the CBX has 6, and the cams are different. the Carbs
are also slightly different. Unfortunatly i do not have a spare CBX
engine, otherwise i would just pop it insde the CB frame, but i do
have the camshafts and a set of carb fully functional. I need to know
how to have these bits inside the CB engine, and get the thing running
100%. Does anyone ever did this thing??? i know there are at least 2
german CB owners who did this, but their reports are vague and the
email addresses are no longer active.

    thanks

    Gus

Put it in, turn it over by hand, if it doesn't lock up, viola!!! it works!!!
If it locks up, either get out the angle grinder and remove the offending metal or just give up
and go back to the original camshaft & carbs.
