Catchin' Up

After being out of circulation for a couple of months, you'd
think there'd be quite a chore involved in getting caught up
with the newsgroup doins'.. That's what I was expecting at
any rate..

Dang guys.. what's been going on ? It's taken me all of fifteen
minutes to chase down all the posts and read up on what has
been happenin'.. That's disgraceful..

Seems like no one has taken a neat trip anywhere.. wrecked out
or bought a new ride.. No one seems to be working on their bike
or investing in chrome doodads to install.. Ain't anyone insulting
someone or anything like all that.. Hell.. this newsgroup is going
to pot..

I don't know if anyone else has noticed it or not, but there is a
bunch of people running for president of the United States and
all kinds of stuff is going on that everyone should be buzzed up
about..

This old Green Vulcan of mine looks like hell.. and it wouldn't
start with that mexican battery that I had to put on it, to get out
of Mexico last October,. That trip oil hadn't been drained and
that puppy was so nasty, it didn't look like it had ever belonged
to me.. A fresh and correct battery replacement fixed the start-
ing problem and I managed to get that oil drained and fresh oil
installed.. Me and the Mexican, kinda did some cleaning on the
poor old thing and it looks considerably better than it did.. I'll
finish up some more detailing and it'll be back to it's normal
glittering shine, when I can get around to it.. There's a set of
chromed air horns waiting to be installed on it and soon as I
am up to the job, I'll be taking care of that little chore..

Before I got out of pocket.. those good folks at Scootworks
sent me the chromed steel pulleys for the belt drive.. did I
mention that a belt drive conversion kit had been installed on
the Green One.. The guys at Grapevine Kawasaki got together
and took care of that for me.. It's all done.. Anyway, the Green
Vulcan is about ready to hit the road again, and when I'm up
for it, there's lots of miles on that highway, just waiting..

Let's get busy and get this newsgroup back up and running..
For all the regulars on here.. Many thanks for the kind e-mails,
phone calls and visits.. I appreciated each and every one of
them.. Looking forward to seeing you all on the road, when the
weather levels off a little bit.. For all the newcomers to the group

BTW.. Congrats on the new ride, Louie.. can't wait to see that
thing.. Bjay.. we gotta talk about your future as Ratings Monitor..
Jerry.. you gotta get finished with that trike and get out a little
more.. Brian, you slow those monsters down.. you know I taught
you better than all that.. RedShad, I haven't noticed anything about
you getting some nice pinstriping on that good looking Goldwing..
Morgan Kane.. get busy and grow some tits.. hehehe.. see you
soon, I hope.. Evidently Big Ed has got out of his zip code a few
times, but he's still not convinced that Venture will run as fast
going as it does coming.. Glad to see Gary is still hanging in here
and hasn't been falling off that big ol'Valk, lately.. lol.. way to go
big guy.. whew.. Can't say that Bill Cattell is doing the right thing
here.. no one in their right mind would be considering buying a
cage and giving up a nice Harley.. that just ain't right.. I've noticed
that Dusty is having a little bit to say, these days and Biff B is
keeping his toe in the door.. lol.. that's a good thing..

Well, I for one knew you taught Brian to be more careful!! <g> Gee, I was
really trying to create more postings on this here group, but even Brian was
just too dang nice to me. I thought he'd be cussing me out and all that but
he didn't. lol

Good to see you posting Bill W. BTW...I'd love to talk a little politics
here, might get some good postings started. LOL What irks me about the
voting crap is the candidates are gonna be out of the race before we Texans
get to voice our opinions about them! lmao

Glad to see that you were taking care of him for me..

I'm sure not getting my "druthers" during this campaign.. Seems like we are
deciding our next president either by race or gender.. or a whole lot more
of
the same that we've had for the past seven years.. Our country is sure in a
sad
shape if this is the best candidates we can come up with to lead us..

I'm sure sure we'll survive this too.. but dammit, we can do so much
better..

I've been in real close contact with some of the results of our last few
years
and it is a crying damned shame that we don't have more to offer them.. They
deserve so much better.. Don't forget to vote and make sure your elected
ones
know that they are all a great disappointment to us.. Maybe we can still
make
some difference by the time the conventions are over..

Making a run down to "T-Town" is on my list of "things to do".. I've

Great to hear from you 'o ancient one'. It's good to see that wisdom
has returned to tx.moto.

FYI on the Challenger vs Bike... Chrysler credit didn't like the terms I
wanted so they said 'no' on the financing. While I'm use to hearing that
these days it still doesn't bother me as I take the tact of "ok, I'll
look at it again later".

I appreciate the input (or smart-ass comments) I think I have settled on
having both. Bike is here now and will stay, the Challenger will come on
board down the road some.

Since I'm just getting back in the swing of things, here.. how 'bout giving
me
some "up to speed" on yourself.. What part of this ol'Texas are you located
in, and what do you ride ? Maybe you can get out and make some runs with
us, when I start runnin' again, that is..

 

So far my candidate is still in the race. Ron Paul has the right idea
about how a federal government should be and how to get us (the country
as a whole) closer to the Republic we started out as.

He's offered some insight to getting back to the gold standard and not
just keep printing money that's de-valued.

I've caught a bunch of crap about being in the Ron Paul camp but I don't
give a hoot. I can see some hope for our country in him!
