I know they're a hunting dog and all, but how on earth are they
supposed to hold shotguns with their tiny paws?

  2. Even though I can't stand dogs.... A bit harsh....

A couple of steaks with a liberal lacing of poo moving drugs inside them,
just before the dogs get called into the house, would be a lot cooler.

    I borrowed a gun albeit a 4-10 single rather than a 12 bore when a
neighbours dog came into my garden and killed a kitten of mine many
years ago. Fortunately I came to my senses before doing anything other
than taking the loaded gun home and then returning a couple of days
    later.

Whilst I have had both a lurcher (rescue dog) and suffered other
peoples cat crap in my garden [1] I have sympathy's for your current
status and really hope he pulls through ok.

Although our two whippets and the lurcher kept the garden pretty clear
of unwanted 'visitors', they all seemed happy with just the chase.

    All the best ..

[1] Now I don't have any dogs I have had to install an I/R detecting
water jet device to protect the garden.

  5. I wouldnt say they are clueless , Its actually recomended not to leave
gaps under the fence because of the possiblity of children poking thier
arms through , unfortunatly your cat was in the wrong place at the
    wrong time.

    Hope he pulls through

Is it religion in general, or just the type of person it attracts?

I wouldn't ask, but will certainly accept if they offer (it's up to
    £1313.00 already).
It is - especially when you see it happening & can't get there quickly
enough to stop it. That sight will be with me a long time, as will the
    'if only I'd...' analysis.
Thanks. They're going to call around 11pm with an update - it's gonna
    be a long evening.

The fence is around an enclosed area within their garden, nowhere near
    the main boundary. They're clueless.

  17. :-O

I do hope the cat is insured.
I'd be focussing now more on the 'what next' aspect, difficult as it
    may seem at present.

Whilst the cat was on the dogs home territory, they've still done
something pretty horrid, the way of nature or otherwise.

So once the dust settles, I'd be at least asking the neighbours what
they intend to do to avoid the possibility of it becoming a case of
    'third time unlucky'.

  18. From what krusty has said his neighbours have already erected a 6 foot
high fence , what more can you expect them to do , the dogs were on
    thier home turf

Im sorry krusties cat got mauled but unfortunatly it goes with the
territory with cats ,they have a habit of wandering through peoples
gardens as though its their own personal serengeti ,

Dumb fuckers. Cats eat birds, dogs eat cats, if you could just explain
to 'em that it's the 21st century and food comes in a bowl all would be
    well.

    Hope it pans out ok.
