Not quite out yet - they're trying to stabilise him overnight then operate tomorrow. I heard a racket outside, looked out the window & saw next door's lurchers ripping him up. Huge hole in his gut, possible broken back & fucked lungs. I'll lose the plot if he dies. -- Krusty www.MuddyStuff.co.uk Off-Road Classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tiger 955i '96 Tiger '79 Fantic Hiro 250
Bloody hell... commiserations. :-( How are you broaching this with the neighbours - was he on their land so to speak, or was this out on 'the public highway'?
Their garden. The dogs have got form - they killed the other neighbour's cat a few years ago. Their 'solution' was to put 6' wooden fencing all round, which does a great job of cutting off any fast escape routes. -- Krusty www.MuddyStuff.co.uk Off-Road Classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tiger 955i '96 Tiger '79 Fantic Hiro 250
It does feel that way. Thanks. -- Krusty www.MuddyStuff.co.uk Off-Road Classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tiger 955i '96 Tiger '79 Fantic Hiro 250
Arse that sucks. IME lurcher's only seem to have two brain cells, and if they're both in chase/kill mode then there's not much you can do to stop them.
They were pretty horrified. -- Krusty www.MuddyStuff.co.uk Off-Road Classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tiger 955i '96 Tiger '79 Fantic Hiro 250
Perhaps someone should do that to one of your dogs? No need to wait for a decent reason because istr you own a Rottweiler cross and they're child killers in waiting.
Why? They're doing exactly what as a breed they're designed to do - chase and kill small prey. Would you also take the same view if Krusty's cat had killed somebody else's racing pigeon?
No, they just need owners who aren't so clueless. Had they left a gap at the bottom of the fence like I asked, this wouldn't have happened (the dogs had him cornered). -- Krusty www.MuddyStuff.co.uk Off-Road Classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tiger 955i '96 Tiger '79 Fantic Hiro 250
No, got his sister too (they're both about 16 months old) & an 18 year old one. -- Krusty www.MuddyStuff.co.uk Off-Road Classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tiger 955i '96 Tiger '79 Fantic Hiro 250
Happened to us a few years ago. Kedi was around 17ish, but still in good health, an affectionate but independent little moggie, liked her bikes as the photo down there shows. Next door neighbour had some pikey fucker in trimming the trees outside her house. Said pikey fucker had let his "undetermined mutt of stocky terrier breed" roam up and down the road without a leash. We heard him make a fairly quick exit and then the next door neighbour came round about ten minutes later. Mutt had chased Kedi up the road and broken her neck with a bite. I/we were devestated, stupid really - it's only a cat - but boy you don't half miss them when they're no longer there. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=402506&l=02444&id=715546495 Fingers crossed for you mate.
I think if my dog did that (which he wouldn't, as he has a healthy respect for cats having been on the receiving end of a couple of storming feline right hooks in the past), I'd be inclined to offer to pay at least some of the vet's bill. On one hand, it's just nature running it's course, but it must be horrific if it's your beloved pet on the receiving end. Good luck. I hope the moggy pulls through.
Cunts - but it's nature. Shotgun+luchers=happiness. -- Dave GS850x2 XS650 SE6a "It's a moron working with power tools. How much more suspenseful can you get?" - House
Sorry to hear about your cat , not a lot you can say to our neighbours thoough as the cat was in thier back yard --
Not really they were protecting 'thier' property The cat probably took the same shortcut it usally does and this time got nailed Its the dogs instinct as much as its the cats to roam Do hope krustys cat pulls through though --
