So last weekend seven members of Alberta Crude took to the road to
sneak in what maybe our last good ride of the season.

Seven of us took off on six bikes for a casual cruise through the
Rocky Mountains. We left Calgary Friday morning headed for Creston BC.

Saturday took us on the road North to New Denver. What could be better
than new asphalt laid over a rolling winding road through the
mountains and along the river valleys. Factor in a free ferry ride and
you have the mix for the perfect ride.

Sunday had us on more wonderful roads, another ferry ride and through
the Rogers Pass, ending up in Radium BC.

Monday brought a little rain for the ride home.

I have to say, second to Moab, it was the best ride of the season for
me. Near perfect weather, really incredible roads, beautiful scenery
    and wonderful company.

That's what riding is all about.

Here are a few pictures of the weekend ride. Enjoy!

Ditto. For some reason, Google Groups (I gotta get back to using a
decent newsreader and newsfeed!) lists Don's recent submissions in the
message index, but doesn't display them - at least, not to me.

So, I read his post via Redshad's quotes.

Really liked the pix - - - must be a new camera or something? ;-) Tim

Yeah, now all I need is a little talent to get the most out of it.

    I ended up buying the 70 - 300 stabilized lens to go with the 28 - 105
carry around lens. They seem like a good combination and are not too
    difficult to pack around.

Sounds almost as beautiful as the Texas Hill Country rides, and/or...the
