    Has anyone used them yet?

I'm considering them for the 9R and was wondering how they compared to
other brands for feel and stopping power? Wear isn't an issue.

I had SBK3s in the last ZZR, but the brakes on that were shit when new,
so it was always hard to judge how good anything new really was.

Used them on the ZX6-R I had, very happy with them, good progressive power
for all their life, certainly better than whatever the dealer had put in
there. Good enough that I replaced them with A+3 pads again.

Not that I remember anything, but according to the police a smart car
(driven by a not so smart woman obviously!) turned right across my path
(they estimate my speed was about 60 in a 60 limit) and I rode up and over
it, but failed to make the landing the other side :-(

Judging by the damage to the bike and my lid we both came down head first,
which is probably why I don't remember much!

In fact I have just found a set of A3+ pads that I had bought for the ZX6-R
but then sold the bike before I required them, they are code 2255, they do
fit some ZX9-R's I believe. Yours for postage and token beer money if they
are of any use. Remove the obivious spam trap to mail me.

If your 6R had the 6 pot Tockico calipers (early versions had four
pot) then they will fit the 9R.

In fact I have just found a set of A3+ pads that I had bought for the
    ZX6-R
Indeed they were 6 pot calipers. According to the carbone lorraine website
    (http://www.carbonelorraine-moto.com) then they should fit the ZX9-R B & C
models - according to the site ZX9-R from 2002 onwards (I'm assuming that's
the E model) use a different pad.

And the ZX12r, as well as the GSX-R 750 and the TL1000.
Really? I thought the E model was the same too.

2002 was the F model when, I believe, they went back to four pots. My E
has six and is almost identical to the C apart from bodywork/lights and
the rear sub-frame is bolted on not welded.

"F model"? Didn't know there was such a thing. But anyway, a brief
google reveals that they switched from Tokico 6-pots to Nissin 4-pots
    in 2002.

According to my latest acquisition[1] the E model has a stiffer frame
too, but that's probably marketing bollocks. It looks[2] no different to
the C model's except for the bolt on subframe.

[1] one of my dealers has kindly given me last month's trade bible/price
guide. He says I can have them as they go one month out of date. Handy
    that
[2] I have 2 Es and a C on the premises to compare things against. There
isn't much difference, apart from mine being the nicest colour.

The F model didn't sell very well. They were available in some pretty
gash colour schemes too. Aside from the brakes they changed the fairing
slightly and did some engine mods including a heavier crank. I looked at
one today with very light scrapes down both sides of the fairing. It's
got 8K miles, on a 03 plate and not recorded as written off. Being sold
for 2495ukp. I'm tempted to buy it and have the whole thing painted
plain gloss black with C1 style graphics.

I believe the headlights and top fairing are a lot different, the C has
one headlight and the E has two, the air scoop is slightly different on
the E. The F had a braced rear swing arm, different brakes and some
engine mods but apart from that it's not a lot different to previous
models. There aren't that many Kawasaki's around for the green to be
regarded as "common" - not like CBR's where even the less common colour
scheme sold in the thousands. I wasn't too sure about the colour at
first (they only had a green one in stock at the price - £5700 on the
road in Dec 2001) but I like it now and would definitely have another.

  15. Got them on mine, feel very similar to the original Suzuki pads but
    cheaper.

Lasting well - original pads + A3s (75% worn) & just comming up to 20k.

I know all this, I have two others on the patio to compare against. You
can't help but notice the headlights etc. I was talking about frame
differences. I covered cosmetic ones in another post.
I like the look of the F model's styling, but hate the colour schemes
they came in. They are still way too expensive for me to consider at the
    moment though.

When I bought my GSXR last January, the same dealer were knocking out
new unregistered ZX-9Rs, which I guess would have been F's for 5
    grand.

They were blue, so I didn't buy one.
