Well, not exactly. Capirossi said that a distant 13th at Assen has
made him angry and Denning has replied "We have to keep working hard
and keep focused to find the key that will allow the riders to perform
to the best of their abilities." but this distant and vacuous
leadership has taken Suzuki to where they are now. Capirossi is
defining his inability to develop the bike, its not as if they are a
2nd generation team, its 'Works Suzuki' for goodness sake. If they
haven't been able to get to the front on that they might as well all
    go home.

The only guy to do anything with a Suzuki in the last ten years is
Kenny Roberts Jr.and much of his success came down to a large number
of rain races, which the better known past Suzuki champion, Kevin
Schwantz once noted "made everyone more even" because the better bike
often lost its dry weather advantages. The beauty of a guy like
Jeremy Burgess is that he not only carries the authority with him to
tell the factory engineers what to do based on his rider's needs but
also knows physically how to change the bike as well. Rossi knew this
and that's why he insisted on bringing him to Yamaha. Loris is still
capable of winning races as we last saw him do on the Ducati before he
left and I'd venture to say run in the top 3 or 5 regularly in any
race but that bike's a pig. It'll be interesting to see what Burgess
does when Vale goes to Ducati next year.

Ken Roberts Sr. said it best in the movie "Faster" when he said
"Suzuki just got it wrong". Sadly, they don't seem to learn from their
mistakes nor wish to correct them. I doubt you'll hear Leon Haslam
complain though we'll see after this year when Bad Max wins the title
and Corser makes a final push to the front on the BMW.
