Day 1 Garland, TX to Pueblo, CO
Synopsis - 730 miles in 12 hrs. Route: Wichita Falls, Amarillo, Raton.
Highest gas price: $3.29. Lowest gas: $3.09. Highlights: First glimpse of
Rockies.

Day 2 Pueblo to Redstone, CO
Synopsis - 330 miles in 9 hrs. Route: Salida, Gunnison, Crawford, Bowie.
Highest gas: $3.32. Lowest gas: $3.16. Highlights: Royal Gorge, Old Monarch
Pass road, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Uncompahgre.

Day 3 Redstone to Monticello, UT
Synopsis - 350 miles in 11 hrs. Route: Glenwood, Grand Junction, Cisco,
Moab. Highest gas: $3.19. Lowest gas $3.09. Highlights: Glenwood Canyon
(Hanging Lake), UT 128 from Cisco to Moab, Arches Nat'l Park.

Day 4 Monticello to Torrey, UT
Synopsis - 387 miles in 12 hrs. Route: Canyonlands, Monticello, Blanding,
Bluff, Hanksville. Highest gas: $3.29. Lowest gas: $3.09. Highlights:
Canyonlands, Monument Valley, Glen Canyon.

On to Bakersfield today, with stops at Capital Reef, Brice Canyon, Zion
Canyon, and Las Vegas.

 

I saw that flash come through Irving and I got the picture of it.. Little
as you may think of that, I will certainly use that picture for blackmail
purposes, at the first opportunity.. Pretty good run, Waco.. I'll brag on

in colorada area, you pittled along, enjoying the sits and stuff, and

Las Vegas.

Staircase-Escalante,
Bryce, Zion, Vegas.

Day 6 Jean to California Hot Springs, CA
Synopsis - 342 miles in 12 hrs. Route: Barstow, Mojave, Lake Isabella,
Johnsondale.
Highest gas: $3.50. Lowest gas: $3.25. Highlights: Kern River valley.

Day 7 California Hot Springs to Jackson, CA
Synopsis - 416 miles in 15 hrs. Route: Camp Nelson, Balch Park, Springville,
Milo,
Three Rivers, Fresno, Stockton. Highest gas: $3.50. Lowest gas: $3.36.
Highlights: Getting lost in the Sierras, Sequoia Nat'l Park.

Day 8 NO RIDE

Day 9 Jackson to Lone Pine, CA
Synopsis - 375 miles in 14 hrs. Route: Sonora, Lee Vining, Bishop. Highest
gas: $3.64. Lowest gas: $3.29.
Highlights: Yosemite.

Day 10 Lone Pine to Winslow, AZ.
Synopsis - 590 miles in 15 hrs. Route: Pahrump, Las Vegas, Kingman,
Flagstaff. Highest gas: $3.99. Lowest gas: 3.30.
Highlights: Death Valley, Hoover Dam.

Day 11 Winslow to Garland, TX
Synopsis - 925 miles in 16 hrs. Route: Albuquerque, Amarillo. Highest gas:
$3.30. Lowest gas: $2.69.
Highlights: Not many.

Hey, this is the day I saw y'all! It was good to meet you and Mouse.
Don't know why it took you so long to get back to Dallas, I left Jackson
at 10:30 Sunday morning on the Electraglide and was back in Dallas at 7:30
that night.
