22/19/14 but then I listen to a lot of X...

....plus, not sure what happened to the formatting of your original post,
but in my newsreader [1] the "table" was all over the shop, so not
entirely sure who was on which stage, IYSWIM.

    [1] This may be a clue... ;-)

    [of The Polyphonic Spree]
Well said, sir. Frankly, this is where I must "do a Champ" and say that
as for The Polyphonic Spree, "I don't get it..."

I've heard a number of people now come out with shit like "B-b-but, as a
concept, having fourteen musicians on stage at once is brilliant, no?!"

Er, no. Not unless they're an orchestra. Or the Ozrics...

"Soldier Girl" is one of the most annoying fucking tunes I've ever heard,
and that alone puts them right up there with other class acts like Black
Lace, Joe Dolce and Keith Harris and fucking Orville.

Kill them all. Kill them now.

Only if you are listening to The Blues Collective, mate. Between 11
and 23 blues session musicians who get together three or four times a
year to basically jam at high volume, while drinking shedloads of
    quality real ale.

They tend to do a first half of Blues Brothers soundtrack music,
extended and fiddled about with depending on whether they have 3 or 8
in the brass section - and then they take a deep breath and come back
like a tidal wave, rocking out all the old favourite blues standards
with added bollocks and a few new ones thrown in.

They are without doubt the best value stageful I have ever seen - if
you get a chance go and see them.

  6. It was back in the 70's when Renaissance were doing it..

    Now? It's just sad[1].

    Phil.

[1] As it was in the 80's. I went to college with someone who was
part of a 'synthesiser band'. 7 people up
on stage all playing synths. He played 'bass synth'. With one finger.
    Hardly able musicians..
