Can you replace HT leads?

The Bandit 12 has developed a slight misfire and I've narrowed it down to
the lead on no 4 cylinder. The HT lead has gone a bit hard and the cap
doesn't really want to screw in to the lead very well. Can I replace with
new from the cap right back to the coil? How do you usually make the join
    and keep it electrically sound?

Well, then HT leads on the KH500 are easily replaceable, as it is on
    the TS250. So ner.

Kawasaki GT750 has what looks like a sealed cap on the coil that
actually unscrews to remove the lead.

I remember those bonded in coil/ht lead asssemblies. So frustrating when
you had to shorten the lead to get a good screw in fit for a new plug cap
and it left you short to the cylinder.

As are MZ ones. Just make sure you haven't broken the little spike in
the coil or thrown out the sealing collar.

Just so. And don't screw the plastic sealing nut too tight or it's EvilStick
    time again...

Signed off until the end of the week, genuinely have a chest infection
and feel like shit. I had something go 'pop' in my throat last night[1],
it felt like a cracking bone. So back to docs today because I can't
swallow food or drink without considerable pain now.
