Good point. It was a turn of phrase.

I guess that you are technically old?

Is technically old when you're older than Champ?

Technically, I'm fucking *ancient*. I'm a COBOL programmer, FFS!
Well, it's a start. Fortunately, I'm not as grey.

Mined ewe, he does have an exceptionally fit girlfriend. She's probably
on some sort of "Help the Aged" kick.

    No.

Frankly I would be disappointed if it didn't.

If it was for an unrepeatable event then give it back[1] or if for a
repeatable one then hand it on to someone who will.

[1] Can't get hold of the full memory but a bell is ringing about a sci
fi story where the space marines all get a number that has been used
before and The Glorious History that goes with it. Hero gets the jinxed
one and saves the galaxy thus restoring previous owner's good reputation
sort of shite story it was.

  15. The FAQ is best written by someone who has a bike and has ridden bikes
for some time, rather than someone who doesn't and hasn't.

    probably because we aren't.

Currently, I'm working on it, shoe-horning it into the same look and
feel[1] as the rest of the site, to be relaunched hopefully before
    Christmas.

After that, both Adie and Blaney have expressed an interest in the
    regular upkeep of the thing.

[1] Ogden, you're going to love it...

tough. Before Windy died she'd already asked me to help change the
layout of the FAQ so it fitted nicely into the overal ukrm.net site,
which is what is now - finally - happening.

The only updating I'm doing is checking the external links and
removing them if they're dead. Ongoing maintainance will be done by
Adie or Blaney once they've done fighting between them.

I'm not really "changing the format" either - just the look and feel,
to integrate the FAQ into the rest of ukrm.net - all the internal FAQ
links will remain the same, for the most part (there are a few
    oddities which I'll tidy).

I don't see why not. You could form some sort of FAQ committee, for
    all I care.
Oh yes. The rest of the site is finished - it's just the FAQ that's
left to tidy up - there are a few oddities that aren't in the standard
1.2.3 style FAQ notation as per whatever RFC describes how a newsgroup
FAQ should look i.e. the UKRMCBT, and a couple of others - I just need
to integrate them more fully with the rest of the FAQ and I'm done.
