Can I clean intake valves?

I have the carburetors off my CBR600 for cleaning, they're now clean enough
to eat off of. Looking down the intake tract though, I can see that the
intake valves are quite heavily covered in carbon deposits. Being the start
of the riding season, I was going to adjust the valve clearances while I
have the carbs out of the way, but is there any way I can clean the intake
valves as well?? (without pulling the heads off...)

I read a TSB for my Saturn about a GM cleaning solution that is poured into
the combustion chamber (through the spark plug hole) and left to soak thus
cleaning the piston top and ring. Bascially, what I'm asking is, can I pour
some sort of solvent down the intake tract over a closed valve, let it soak
& then blow it out of the combution chamber (through an open spark plug
hole) to clean the top of the intake valves? This would be followed by a
plug & oil change, of course.

Has anyone here attempted such a procedure or am I asking for more trouble
than it's worth?? (Yes, I know about techron & such...)

    Thanks for any replies.

    Charlie.

There is a product "upper end cleaner" by GM that you feed thru a vacuum port
and let it soak on the valves etc. it's stinky; but it works.

Wurth also makes a product that works well (I just used the wurth product on my
VW & my Subaru) my gsxr only has 6K miles; so I don't think it needs it; but I
have a bottle waiting for it too...
