camshaft timing

  1. Heh. It would been slightly tricky to turbo because of the way the
exhausts point in opposite directions from the two banks of cylinders,
    but yeah.

    <Thinks>

    *Twin* turbo V-Max!

There's a yank on the Yahoo Tiger list selling a '99 turbo Tiger if
anyone wants a big trailie with attitude. $6,500 + a few hundred for
    shipping.

Well, he thought of it, had it made and fitted it.

You are merely the current custodian - and you were thinking of
    changing it, weren't you?

OK, I like all the ideas on bigger is better etcetera, I even read through
the Cali and Turbo-hubbabubba, but this didn't really help me a lot, did it?

So, putting in a bigger lump is NOT an option. Turbo then? Nope, not
really... Why? Don't ask, but I have this 'bet' going on with someone who
calls himself my 'pal' and something like a 'dyno-run', wxhatever that may
be. All the rest that is involved is his bike (same size) and a crate of
    fine Belgian beer...

Again, same question, but let's get it different: I'm trying to squeeze the
original lemon here. And I *know* there's more juice in it :)

As Pip pointed, I know that jetting and exhausts will have to change and
all, but the change in cam would fit in a total plan: K&N, rejetting,
flowing the head, porting, and an open megaphone exhaust-line. That's about
what I had in mind. The head is ready, K&N too, them icecreamones are bought
    too...

So, knowing that it would be a caféracer-style thingy in the end, what would
    the best option be?

Besides that, I really like you guys alot, always fun to see what comes up
here, dang, I even read TOG's stuff in CMM ;-)

    Thanks guys!
