Beautiful part of the world, i did a run up the coast road [1] in '96
from Split to Italy. Better biking roads it would be hard to find, an
ex-boss (Croation ny birth) has bought a part share in an island just
off the coast near Split, intending to retire there.

[1] In a battered Citroen XM, so less 'hooning', more 'wallowing'.

Jill Craigie made a film about it, which I'd very much like to see.

Me neither. The salaries are still crap over there[1].
I think the English are just glad there aren't bombs going off on the
    mainland.

[1] not that any sort of improvement in pay scales would tempt me back
    to the fucking backwater place...

TBH, I'm not sure which side to cheer for.

it is, isn't it? Must do some further investigation.

On the other hand, it's a pity we have kids, as we've got enough equity
on our current London property to buy the most expensive property on
that Thai property site that Blaney posted and still have about 60K
    spare.

She was rather fuckable as a youngster so HTF did she end up married to
a living fluck & law puppet

Your not a lateral thinker really. In Thailand you can sell the

It didn't need a reply young man.
I give him kudos for being a smarter than the average left wing bear of
    the day though:
"Some are still gulled by the monstrous delusion that the Russians are
the friends, not the enemies, of democratic Socialism. If they prefer
the world view of the Communist Party, let them clear out and no longer
    seek cover in our ranks."

He was particularly unelectable though, not that I hold it out as an
    insult you understand.

A rather better way of phrasing the old fifth-form debating society standby
"well if communism's so great, why don't you go and live in Russia"

You're the only one I've heard say it.
Compared to the multitude thronging to support you?

Anyway, I'm never afraid to say that Bear is a friend of mine and that this
group is a poorer place when he isn't around, whereas you and Matt are,
    frankly, just background noise.

oh, come on - he seems to have a personal collection of name-calling
    trolls too[1]
this is getting better and better. Come on now everyone, let's have a
    proper old-fashioned flamewar!

    I'll start: Andy, you're a stupid-hat-wearing once-funny-but-no-longer
    ugly northern cretin.

[1] "Lady Nina and the Trolls" - sounds like a late '60s rock group.

Thus speaks the orange beach ball...
    Nope - unlike you
From the idiot with (at best) a "Brazilian" on his chin
All you need is a lisp and you'd have the stereotypical gay accent, with
your overdone attempt at an "RP" accent.
You seem to know the look, I guess you have the experience, too?
    Nope and nope.

I hear tell that your favourite outfit involves a gimp mask, a ball gag,
"pony tail" and a nappy, though.

I think the trolls have called him lots of names, but I can't recall anyone
ever using the particular phrase "obnoxious ****". Of course I could be
    wrong.
I think I start this because I was sick of childish insults, but WTF.
Um, do I have to insult you now or somebody else? What do I do if I agree
    with you?

  17. With regard to Proposition 1, I don't know him well enough to claim
friendship but I am definitely Spartacus. As for Proposition 2, I have no
opinion. Which is, I suppose, in its own strange way a corroboration of
    your view!

Whilst, in some respects, it is hard to disagree with your sentiments
can I just point out that things such as "proper old-fashioned flame
wars," however good they may have been for the popcorn industry, are
essentially little more than a display of gross disrespect and thus have
no place in our New Respectful British Society.

Right, I have pointed it out, I am off to fire up the microwave.
