Rallies can be a laugh. I enjoyed watching the clip but I'm not sure
I'd buy the DVD. It was fun spotting people I know and there's a
wonderful shot of Brush drooling that I shall be sure his missus knows
    about.

I stopped going with the ribcrackers regularly because at every rally
my mate and her husband would have a huge fight. That and I'm getting
    old.

Sorby bored us all completely to death with wittery prose along the
    lines of:
I *thought* I saw Murray prancing about there.

Nice one, thanks. Shame about the annoying little 'tune' on that site
    though.

You know, I thought that, but thought, nah can't be.

Although after looking at the acesounds site it shows Lemmy did do the
vocals[1]. The track is One Way Love, BTW.

[1] I nearly wrote 'sing' there

  9. It's just one of those things you've got to do before you die, I reckon.
I've done most of the other "rock-n-roll" type things I can think of but
never a rally like that. I really think it could be a laugh and your
post is encouraging. I'm getting old as well btw, but I noticed a few
bods in the video that were distinctly older. It looks good but atm I
have the problem of who to go with. Noone I know would want to go (or
their missuses wouldn't let them) and the ones that would haven't got
    bikes.

    Veggie Dave says...
The guy riding the strange looking bike at 3.36 used to be the clothing
and accessories salesman at Carnell on the north circular and then at
Daytona in Islington. Last time I saw him was about this time last year
at Ally Pally, when he had a very badly smashed leg. Good to see him
    riding again.

that would be a bit overwhelming for his first rally. he wants to
start off with something tame, work through PiL and then Rock n Blues
    first.

What would you consider tame? Everything I saw on that video looks like
everything you'd do in a good year but squeezed into a couple of days!

    Good stuff, I like it.

I think I may have to buy the DVD...

Hmm, I'm pretty certain we filmed him just before his accident. The last
time I remember seeing him was at the Ace last year, and he was still in
a 'chair fitted with an Illazaro (sp?) external frame
