Call to the Guzzisti

    Background:
Apparently the Raptor Clutch lever came out of the same parts bin as the
Guzzis - the stock Raptor lever is not span adjustable, apparently the
Guzzi California (year unspecified) is span adjustable and will bolt up.

    Question:

    1.
Is there any difference in clutch levers between the years of the Cali
that came with them, and if not, what year models came with span
    adjustable clutch levers.

    2.

What are the preferred suppliers for Guzzi parts ?

Can't help there, but if you ring Tom Newell at Newalls in Qld or Mario at
Thunderbikes in WA they'll be able to help. My copy of Guzziology is
too old to have the late Calis in it.

At a rough guess though, you'll want the bikes that came after the
Aprilia takeover, so say 2004 onwards.

My 2006 Norge has adjustable levers. If you wanna eyeball them let me
    know.
The above gentlemen for new, for 2nd hand about your only option is
Eurobrit in Melbourne. Take fat wallet...

Alternatively, check US suppliers as importing from the US is usually
cheaper. Dave Richardson at Moto International knows all there is to
know about what parts fit what, and MPH might be worth a try too.

For all abovementioned check the Aigor parts page see http://aigor.org

For MPH, search for "mph houston guzzi"

I'm pretty sure yes and I noticed on one of the aftermarket sites that
there was a common part number for a heap of Aprilia , Duc and Guzzi
ones (and the RSV and S4R with the radial brembos had a different number
to the rest but the same as each other.

I've a feeling you may be onto something !

Dunno if there is an Ozzie dealer, I got mine for the Triumph from the
states, luckily, when the US dollar wasn't worth too much.

Caution here. The Norge clutch lever is the same as the Breva and a
bunch of other models, but the brake lever is unique to the Norge

    OK, thanks.

As far as I can figure it's a TL/earlyGixxer (and about 4 zillion
other suzuki models) brake lever, and a Ducati/Aprilia/Mv Agusta/
Guzzi clutch lever but I've still not tried to substitute parts yet -
I think I'm going to visit a wrecker on the weekend and see if they'll
    let me measure stuff

Metropolitan in Silverwater have always been good about that. If you
go in and explain the problem they'll be happy for you to poke about.

Sheesh; are you' gonna fit LEDs to your ears as well?!!?

Can't you just use zinc-cream like the rest of us?

When TB dumped his GSXR600 at the Karuah River Rally I had to do a
300km-round-trip mercy dash to Newcastle for a brake-lever ('cause riding
900km back to Brisbane without a front brake was unthinkable) but I got a
late start and couldn't find a Suzi dealer. After a frustrating search I
stumbled into a BMW dealer and bought a Triumph lever that fitted ferpectly!
    Thank Doohan for parts commonality!
