A Focussed instructor once told me off at Donington for overtaking too
many other riders in the intermediate group, but I wasn't able to catch
the front runners who were all extremely fast. I responded with "If I
can overtake them on this piece of crap then they're obviously in the
wrong group, go speak to them", he told me that if I gave him any more
lip I'd be excluded from the trackday for the rest of the sessions. I
told him he'd have a fucking hard job doing so as I'd done nothing
wrong and that his boss would be getting a letter of complaint about
his attutude. As it was coming up for the last couple of sessions I
carried on as I had been all day, and made a point of blitzing one of
the other instructors going into Macleans because he was dicking around
and obstructing people from getting past where he could. He came up to
me to have words and I told him to blow it up his arse cos I wasn't
going to book any more days with them anyway - I don't like having my
fun spoiled by egotistical twats. I packed the bike in the van and
fucked off with one session to go, but I was damn near fucked anyway.

I think it was the huge No Limits stickers I had up the sides of the
fairing that they didn't like, and the No Limits T-shirt I was wearing
    around the paddock inbetween sessions.

Garages are first-come first-served I believe. I'm in the inters, my
brother is going in the novices. Both of us planning to use our
GSXR600, although if it becomes a problem, I'll have the 1000 with me
    as well.

You should be ok to be honest, last month would have been fine, just get
    into the pits quick!

It's a 98db day. I got pulled on my last session last time, so did many
    others.

Both our bikes have road legal exhausts on, so it's a non-issue for
    me.

I could probably fit a db killer, but it might fuckup the setup.

It'll make it run a bit rich is all. running rich is fine, it's
running lean that causes engine problems.

My daughter's GSXR600 K8 failed noise testing at Oulton with the stock
system. My CBR600F with full race Akrapovic system passed noise testing
    at the same time.

How odd. The 600 has the standard Suzuki can from '98 on it which is
as quiet as always, so I've no worries about that.

Mine has Arrow cans on, but they've still got the baffles in and are
    no noisier than stock.
