Can you email me details of the Byrock thingy, Boxer? (my email addy is
4real) I don't know whether I'll be up to it, but I'd like to try. I have a
tyre repair kit just in case <grin> and all I want to do is get out and
ride.....it blows away a lot of cobwebs....

This weekend Saturday night at the Walkabout Creek Hotel at Byrock about 60
muscular attractive male motorcycle riders (many very well healed single
professionals) will be having quite drinkies after travelling by as many
dirt roads as possible to get to the pub. (A number of us fat grey haired
    old farts will also attend).

Byrock is about 125 kilometres north west of Nyngan or 76 kilometres tot he
    south east of Bourke.

Well you've almost put me off with the tales about well healed single
professionals... what was wrong with them that they needed healing? This
isn't one of those retreat thingies is it????

But seriously, I'm thinking of having a go. I've never been out that way
before, and I do like to challenge myself. I'd be safe, right? (well, as
safe as anywhere else - I realise nothing is certain and everything is
    relative.)

The big question, of course, coz I haven't got one of those off-road type
bikes..... I wouldn't have to do dirt to get there would I???? 600-odd k's
of sealed road is doable for this little fledgeling P-plater, but I'm not so
    sure about dirt.

No dirt roads from Canberra to Byrock using the most direct route.

As for safety, watch out for roadside critters as they can jump out at you
    and spoil your whole day.

The participants in this run are generally harmless grey haired old farts
mostly of the over 40's BMW riding variety.

Ah, sounding better by the minute! Sealed roads and harmless grey
    haired old farts :)

I just may surprise myself (and everybody else, ha ha!) Will be wild
and impulsive, and decide on Saturday morning :)
