it's a bit of a shock when someone apparently otherwise normal eschews
a fairly common-or-garden piece of technology. I've only got one
standalone DVD player, but there's one in Angie's PC, and the two PS2s
    will also play DVDs.

I always buy What Hi-Fi and buy the Award Winner in the price range
    I'm willing to spend.

    Exclusive deal with Duke sadly
Er, there's only one half of the original owners left who's up on
charges of, among other things, assault and battery of a female. I
wouldn't have anything to do with them even if we were desperate rather
    than just looking to expand
Apart from BSH and Ebay, you have to pay to be listed with the rest
    unfortunately

It'd be easier to say who, from here, did buy it. Thankfully, it has
sold remarkably well up to now (thanks mostly to word of mouth - which
is probably the best sort of advertising), but we want to expand rather
    than sit here not growing

I'm proud to say that I bought it. And I'm happy to say that it's
    really fucking good.

I suppose there's so much bullshit talked here, that it could have
been predicted how much would be hot air (if that's not mixing
    metaphors).
All power to your elbow, guvnor.

  6. And, having just done it[1], the whole on-line ordering thing
seems to be working as well...

  12. I worked with a weird bloke at Motorola (one of many I'm afraid) that
refused to get a VHS machine on the basis "that it only recorded part
    of the signal".

When it was pointed out that the vast majority didn't care he seemed
to think that they were stupid[1]

    Phil.

[1] Well - I might agree with him on that one but not because
    of the vido-tapes..

  13. "Shifting a few" was understatement. Maybe it might surprise you how
many you could get rid of.
I neither wrote nor implied any such thing.
Notice how I left the phrase "ungrateful ****" out of the sentence.

Ware sorting office closes at 18:30. Mind you it's open to the general
public at 07:00 so you could get the item into the first collection.

heh. I could say the same to you! Actually, I was really up for
Frankfurt. (It was my drunken idea, talking to Sean at the EOSM that
started it.) Sadly, fate - personified by my new boss - meant that I
had to be thousands of miles away.

I also missed a box at the Royal Albert Hall for La Boheme which I'd
    had booked for 6 months.
