Anything to think about when looking at this bike ?

I am currently looking at a 2002 model with very low kms and a slightly
damaged fairing for ~ $10,000 .. is this a bit steep for a slightly
    scratched bike ?

pretty much when they are running at $11990 + ORC
for a brand spankers bike (prob 03 plate) with warranty

you would be quite suprised at what a little bit of damage can turn out to
    be

if you can bargain the price a bit it could be worth it after a real close
    look at the
    damage

    Where abouts is the damage?

My F4 was knocked over ( by a 4WD ) while parked. Scratched pannel / mirror
/ indicator / muffler etc. not really big or bad damage at all, $2600
damage. But this was for new parts. Non of the plastic was cracked, just
slightly scratched, a new sticker would have covered it up.

The guy 's insurance paid for it, but if it had dropped the bike in the
garage then I wouldn't have worried. It was just scratches.

    From memory:
the side fairing was in the $700 range and the peg about $80 ish, but I also
had to replace the bracket the peg bolts onto cause it was bent.

  6. i got mine and it has a slight scratch on the right hand side, hardly
noticable because the guy dropped it on grass when washing it.. not sure how
    grass caused scratches..

but the ogg nobbies i put on cover it up nicely, see if he had oggies it
    wouldn't have caused any damage..
