anything i should watch out for apart from the usual checks ?

Yes, some of the more unusual checks as well.

1. Does it smell of bacon?
2. Has the current owner ever frequented a brothel?
3. Do I feel lucky? Do I?
4. What is the bikes favourite colour?

These are just a few "off the top of my head" unusual checks, you will
be able to generate an almost endless list yourself once you get started.

 

How about previous threads on exactly the same subject - by the same
author?
