    Daaaarzet boy

As I've no idea what a Daaaarzet boy might be - I can probably say you've
    got the wrong person....

    :)

Heh. I was in quote mode, but I'll rework it for you.

"But they all do that, madam."

    Better?

I've heard this a lot, and althoughI'd not dispute it may be true, I do
    think it's over emphasised.

In the year that I had my Bandit it

was dropped twice due to my riding off with a disk lock on [1]
was dropped at about 15 mph in an icy carpark
was crashed at ~30mph, taking a slide down the road and coming to rest
    suddenly against a kerb.
was knocked over three times outside my house, twice by people parking
and once my yoofs on the way home from the pub.

One of the pillion pegs had a few scratches on it after all that lot.

    [1] the shame

  8. This is only the earlier models. Later models had the pegs on a separate
    (presumably designed-to-break) bracket.

Heh, 'well over' is a bit of an exaggeration & they weave nastily over

They are very top heavy, especailly when fuelled. I dropped mine on an
    off camber.

Cheap and nice for a beginner though. Have a look at the rear footpegs
for any damage where they are welded to the frame.

    Cheers,

    Paul.

What with my 12 having working indicators and all, it's now pretty much
legal (race can excepted) and when the bike's legal, I feel more inclined
    shattering speed limits.

So the other day I was pleasantly surprised to find that, with 150mph on
the clock [1], the Bandit feels more planted than my old ZXR4 did while
    showing 140. :)

But if anyone happens to find a freshly severed, rather windswept head
near the south end of the A404(M), can they please drop it in the post
    to me?

    Ta.

Mine never did that. Weave, I mean. As for 'well over a ton' mine
topped out at an indicated 130mph. I supposed that's not as 'well over
a ton' as a gsxr would go, but it is plenty in the real world. IMO.

I've heard of several that did. They're not a sprots bike !
I suppose mine would have too, but I never felt at all comfortable on
it at speeds over 110. That's not me, it is the bike.
It's not much compared to the blackbird I currenly have either, but
there's several aeons difference in the handling of the 2 bikes at 130
    [1]

    .... Unsurprisingly ;-)
Indeed, out and our speed doesn't interest me in the least.

    Cheers

    Paul.
