    Yeah, I know.

Unfortunately, my real life currently consists of either trying to
finish renovating this house so that I can sell it and not be quite
so tight on money, or going to classes so that I can hopefully graduate
in a couple more years. Either way, here has its attractions.

I was going to reply with <fx. flounce> here but I decided not to as
    that would have been silly.

    Near Tesco?
Right... I didn't realise that. Not called Dave are you???

A mate of mine is about to start working in Towcester and his new boss
is off on a bike trip to France this weekend (maybe a TOG-Tourer) and
    is called Dave B.......

  7. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Salad Dodger amazed us all with this pearl of
    wisdom:
    So do I. I'd have one over a GSX1400.

  8. Well it's closing down for refurbishment in August. At least there will
still be the shop (but relocated on the Piazza) - a weekly haunt of
mine. I am still amazed at how busy the museum gets in the school
    holidays.

I was forced to go on the Eye as part of some silly "management"
exercise [1]. I was bloody terrified as I don't do heights.

[1] ooh look. Go and catch a tube train to station "x" and then buy a
ticket and then find your way back to this location.[2]
[2] now you all know what it's like to be a passenger. [3]
[3] err excuse me but I use the fucking service every day thank you very
much. I know exactly what it is like.

    I like the postcards.
I sat very still on the seat gripping it tightly. The kids were
leaning onto the glass looking down, made me fell very ill.
<smile>large chunks of it were fucked this weekend.

    they do it.

    CB1300s are bland and unassuming.

    GSX1400s at least have character.

Oh, and the suzuki is a fat gay bloke's bike ;-)

Hmm - not sure about that. They aren't particularly desirable, but then
there aren't many of them for sale either.
There's an amazing range of mileages amongst the bikes on sale, and
some rediculously optimistic sale prices - I've seen 27,000 mile 98
bikes for sale at the same price as 1,000 mile '01 bikes. It's not hard
to choose which to go for. The thing I'm quite surprised at is how few
of them have been fannied around with - most Monsters I see have a few
aftermarket bits of tat thrown onto them, but apart from high-level
cans, most of the ones I've looked at for sale are completely standard.

Ho hum. Have to get the 'blade working, MOTed and sold first, mind...

but, inherantly, isn't this non-trivial to do?
that's about the size of it. However, I'm hoping to do a trackday soon,
hiring a van, and I'll use this to transport the thing to a dealer to
    sort it out.
