It seemed like ages since I'd actually gone out on a bike to just enjoy myself, so that's what I did this evening for a couple of hours. By 'eck it was fun. My top moment was using a road I haven't been along for bloody ages and going in sharpish to a corner that turned out to be much tighter and much longer than I remembered it being and finding that all I had to do was lean the prilly a bit further and it wasn't even phased. My question though is how can that bike at a ton feel like it's barely even moving yet at a 120 feel faster than anything I've ever ridden, ever? How does that work, eh? My CBR4 would crack 130+ and never felt as fucking terrifying as the prilly does at those speeds. -- AndrewR, D.Bot (Celeritas) Aprilia RSV-1000R, Honda VFR750F-L, Kawasaki ZX-6R, Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo BOTAFOT#2,ITJWTFO#6,UKRMRM#1/13a,MCT#1,DFV#2,SKoGA#0 (and KotL) BotToS#5,SBS#25,IbW#34, DS#5, COSOC# Suspended, KotTFSTR# The speccy Geordie twat.
I had my ZXR4 up to an indicated 240kph a few times and at those speeds it felt like an Argentinian Exocet with a dodgy gyroscope. The Gixer and the 7R before it fell rock steady at those speeds. The only alarming thing about the Gixer is how at 130 the rate of acceleration is still *increasing*! It's barking!

Your just taunting me now. I'm not going out to the garage at this time of night. Well, not in a dressing gown, the seat would be cold. I made it a point of getting the pointer off the clocks every time I went out. It felt lovely.
Nah, I think Ogden's on to something with the acceleration thing. At 130 the RSV will still pull *hard* if you give it some. I had the 6R *way* over 130[1], but the prilly still feels faster than it ever did. I think it's also a wind-blast thing - I'm far too large to get anything close to behind the screen so by 130 aerodynamics are conspiring to make me eat my own crash helmet.
