Being a ham fisted sort of bugger this morning when pulling
on the bit which attaches to the zip on my SIDI boots it
came off in my hands, so you can imagine me knelt down
with whats left putting the little bit back in to pull the zip up,
and whats worse now at work putting the little bit back in
    to get the zipm down.

Can i get these repaired anywhere, can i purchase the
little tag thing and squeeze it back into the zip? or am
i right royally f***ed with these boots.

There about two years old thats all.

    Thanks
    Alan

When I've done this, I've simply replaced the metal tag with one of
those rings from a keyring. Works even better than a zip tab, as you
can hook a finger through it.

Plus you could hang lucky rabbits' feet, charms, fobs, bell and
    trinkets from it.

  3. Paperclip through the zippy bit as a temporary measure?
Besides, real Sidi boots don't have zips.

Good idea, talking about hanging things, i was following
what i thought was a Hardley earlier, turned out to be a
yamaha of some kind, but the guy had tassles hanging from
both ends of the handle bars, rear number plate, rear top
box and a few from the rear indicators.

    Not my cup of tea.

  5. IIRC, Hein Gericke used to sell clip-on zip pullers as an accessory. It
might be worth trawling their online catalogue or telephoning one of
their stores. Alternatively, BMW motorcycle dealers might have some
pullers in stock for the Streetguard/Tourguard textile suits, which can
    be press-ganged into service.

    following:
Use a key-ring ring or if that's too bulky try a paper clip.

  11. I've used paperclips and also picture hanging cord as alternatives. Both
    were fine.

Don't know about Sidi boots, but I had it happen on a pair of H G's and
just used past a key ring through the hole in the sliddy thing and it
continued until I replaced them with a pair of Daytonas 3 years later.
Keyring minus the tab of course.

I'm going to be the third to give an opinion on the keyring thing. Bloody
fanastic! Happened to my Sidi's as well, pissed me off totally. Still the
leather was wearing away because my gear lever was bent a bit and not
hitting the plastic bit so about a week later it gave me the shove I need to
get a pair of Alpinestars SMX. Like fucking slippers they are!

They have. However, in stark contrast to your post, the others were
written in English, the lines were wrapped at a sensible length and
    signatures were preceded by separators.

The MX boots I own are really thick and chunky leather items. SMX boots
are made with Lorica and are nowhere near as good as some people make
out. If Lorica was so good, then Rossi would be racing in a suit made
    from it.
