A great flick. I don't know how much is accurate - loved the way he made his
    pistons (as depicted, anyway).

Yeah, He cast his own pistons. Made his own rods. From stock. With a
    file :)

He also used recycled pipe for his barrels believing that many years in
the ground evened all the stresses out. Welded his fins on.

His work was perfect where it mattered and agricultural where it didnt .
    Function = form type design.

    You have seen it ?
Bert did actually make all his own stuff including a lot of hand make
which took ages , but he did achieve some remarkable things .Is the film
released ? anywhere .( I guess owning the same bike for 50 odd years
    does breed a familiarity)

  9. They rotate them every month, so you're out of luck I'm afraid.

World's Fastest Indian was shown in December.

(They also rotate movies mid month, but that's based on which direction
you fly - eg flights to the North or East have movies A & B for the
first half of the month, and C & D for the second half, whilst flights
to the South or West have C & D for the first half, A & B for the
    second.)

It really sucks if you catch a flight one way in the first half of the
month, then the other way in the second half.

    prk.
