burnt bike

  1. Driving into Edinburgh this evening at about 7pm I passed the scene of a
nasty looking accident. Fire engine, police on site, only remains of
accident a burnt-black cinder of a motorbike lying on the grass verge.
Presume ambulance had left a few minutes earlier.

    Something must be done.

Absolutely. We could start by stringing ghouls up from the nearest lamp
    post.

    Whaddya think?

  4. My acid-addled brain led me to omit the important fact that this was on
the A90 heading south into Edinburgh, about 3/4 mile north of Cramond Brig.

  5. I'm too liberal pinko to string anyone up, even a ghoul.

Catholic too, presumably, with that strong an anti-suicide stance.

  7. I'm sorry. Perhaps I can find something less objectionable to say, but I
    expect you doubt that.

I'd hate to disappoint you. So I doubt that.

    Happy now?

My pleasure. Be sure and post details of any other possibly dead folk
    you see.

  11. OK, I see the error of my ways. I feel bad now and I won't do it again.
Though you may doubt it, I really mean it. I don't know why I thought it
appropriate, it seemed that way at the time, but I was tired and my
judgement awry. I was wrong. I'm sorry.

On a slightly different tack, there was an extremely burned out coauch on
    the M40 the other night.

    Practically nothing left of it.

    FFS, "coauch".

No, it's not a large motorised sofa, it's symptom of having fingers like
    bananas.

    I meant COACH.
