Burn the speeders!

  1. It's official then: driving too fast is worse than sexually assaulting
    an 18 month old baby.

  6. And to be extra sure record it all on your mobile phone while downing a
bottle or two of scotch. That ought to cover all the bases.

He wasn't jailed for speeding. Despite being a delivery driver for the
owners he was driving *this* car on the road without permission of the
owners, ergo uninsured and de-facto stolen. Had he binned it the company
insurers would have a get out of jail free card.
I would hope anyone nicking my cage would get more than 10 weeks.

Mr Porter OTOH clearly has a mental disability. IMHO he should have been
Sectioned long term under sections 2 and 3 of the Mental Health Act 1983, I
don't see that a criminal court can deal with him in any meaningful way.

    </reputation maintenance>
obviously while sectioned he should be immersed in 60degC water, daily)

I did wonder when I read the bit about "aggravated vehicle taking". You
clearly have found a more comprehensive report.

I note the BBC are still mentioning the search for a "176 ?ph biker".

Hog () gurgled happily, sounding much like
    they were saying :
True - but he wasn't jailed for nicking it, either.
They dropped those charges when he pleaded guilty to dangerous driving,
    though. Coincidence?

No, they pursued the more serious charge, standard practice. DD is an
extremely serious offence, potentially. Can be X-years jail time. He got off
    lightly.

Yes but see my other comment in this thread. The CPS exercised its
discretion and pursued the most serious charge.
