Hmm, it doesn't look like much of a lift. I'd suspect it's very light
weight. It also doesn't seem to "lift"... there's no jack or similar.

    Time? Distance?

Could it have been the same car?

well, yes, though I was thinking more along the lines of, if you
assembled a basked-case on it, how the **** would you get it back off
again once it was put together....

It lowers to the ground and you roll the bike off...

  12. Must be a helluva stress on a couple of widgey little welded bits of
square tube then, 'cos I can't see any real strength in that POS.

Yes, it looks more like the sort of thing used to work on a racing go-cart.

Not sure how much weight it was designed to take.

I see Aunty Beeb is now saying he died from a single shot to the head.

Whatever else, that is either a very lucky or *very* skilful shot.

I wonder what the gunman would claim?

    I'm not convinced it is.

Assuming the shooter was a passenger in a car one lane across, doing the
same speed, then it'd be a piece of cake.
That they weren't there, of course.

Heh. That, at least, is true.

8 inch wide target, from maybe 4 or 5 feet away?

    Even I could hit that.

From a vehicle which is moving, vibrating, going over bumps in the road
etc. etc. I wouldn't imagine it would be easy.

  20. Design? Well, I suppose there's a cunning piece of design there - when
the table's had enough it collapses and the bike falls off. Saves all
    that unnecessary heaving of levers.
