Google for it - or read the ITN link I posted above.

  7. It also doesn't mention the Bulldog Bash - so I suspect Rusty was just
    speculating.

"It is thought the biker may have been a visitor to the Bulldog Bash
at the nearby Long Marston airfield near Stratford - billed as
    Europe's number one biker party."

Shirley that should have been the B40 ? - unless the clever bugger was
    riding a twin engined M20.

It said so on TV, so it MUST be true.

Apart from this bit, at the top, in bold...

A man on a motorcycle has been shot dead on a motorway in Warwickshire

You're a bit slow today. You should have looked at that article this
    afternoon
when it lacked certain important details.

  15. I come in past the Waterman usually, and that was at a standstill, so I
had to detour past Hatton Country World[1] and into Warwick past the
racecourse, then out again to the office. That way was very quiet and
yes, the motorway was very empty although there was some traffic
Northbound. Pity the poor folk that are travelling up from South on the
M40 though - it's taken a couple of them 3 hours from Oxford.

On a totally non-related note I did (well half) of a treasure hunt
yesterday on the Turbo - ran very well except we got caught in a shower
and it cut out, so I'm glad I didn't try and make Chimay. Getting a bit
of camchain noise at idle and the forks are leaking *again*. So - this
    looks like a good replacement:

[1] Where some fool in a Jaguar pulled over to turn round and swung into
the road without warning, forcing me onto the verge - I wouldn't have
minded but I was in the car....

It certainly is minty, amazingly so.

It appears to wear BT45's. Is that the best tyre thay can carry.

  17. Yes, on standard rims.

He's popped a post in the 750turbo forum asking for people to contact
him to discuss the price, so I'll see what he says.

  18. The Metzelers aren't available any more, which is a shame as I always
liked them on my RD[1]. Bridgestones are the way to go, I now have
BT45s all round on the RD and on the rear on my Turbo (front is an old
    Pirelli I think).

[1] Well enough to grind the pegs, which due to being a wuss I've failed
to do on every bike/tyre combination since. Although I was around 20
    and had No Fear[tm]

My point was that a 70bhp SOBMW shreds BT45's at an alarming rate,
especially the front (1) so what will a 120bhp Turbo do to them.

    (1) though TBF the Brembo's are right up there with modern kit

    *Dribble*

I wish you wouldn't do this sort of thing. I'm already hovering over a
Yamaha XS650 (yes another one), a *mint* early Yamaha XV750, and a
project BMW R65 (item 280141508637), which comes with a bike lift. I
figure I can keep the bike lift, and break the Beemer for parts.
