Do you have any idea how painful Voddie and Lemonade is when it travels
through the nose after attempting to swallow?

Actually, I'm not too sure that was the correct thing to type on here...

Double bugger. That nasty clonking in 6th is rounded off dogs. Mechanic
has had sump off - there's no bits floating around (so its unlikely to stop
turning suddenly), but it's ukp400++ to fix.

    Part of conversation:
Mech "You've been doing too many clutchless changes"
Me (clutching at straws) "But BIKE repeatedly say clutchless up changes
    cannot damage your bike"
Mech "How long do they ride each bike?"
    Me "mmm"

But the battery still charges ;-P

  5. I said it before, and I'll no doubt say it again. Overheating kills
reg/rects. Why manufacturers have decided to hide them away out of any
    airflow is beyond me.
Move your reg/rect to a position in the airflow and mount it to a big
bit of metal, i.e. the frame with heat transfer paste on the back of
    it.
If you buy a new one, get one with fins on.
    http://www.electrexworld.co.uk/

The old 70s and 80s reg/rects had huge fins and rarely failed. If you
can find one, a r/r from a Superdream or CX500 will be up to the job
with a bit of re-wiring of the connectors.

They're 5V, aren't they? Where do you get the power? Dropping resistor?
    Won't that get hot? ;^)

Just to really piss you off, I was in Lymm today [1] in the Range Rover,
    with an empty bike trailer...
If you need a hand shifting the bike gimme a shout.

[1 That's Lymm as in "oooh, 15 minutes away..."

And I had an email off someone too who could've got me home, the only
people I could think of with a trailer when I was stranded live in the
    MK area.

Oh well, it all worked out in the end.
Heh, the bike is now home as I took the chance with the new battery.
Must remember to put it on charge again, too.

Oh, btw, you mentioned at some point in time the type of work you did?
I don't suppose it was your lot took some people who work at Farmer
Teds from the SP to Aintree on Friday night?
