BMW popped the fork seals yesterday. Currently involved in a battle to
get the dealer to sort under warranty.

The Ducati has a perished oil cooler mount, which have had to be ordered
as I can't find any in stock anywhere.

Looks like I'm painting the garage door this weekend, then.

Thanks, I wondered why the weather got nice and the roads stopped being
slippy. Very nice out there on the bike today.

If only it were that easy.

    It's a push-fit rubber 'bobbin' with a threaded insert.

Zip ties haven't done it. It's currently held up on the perished side
with string tied to the frame tubes.

  6. I find it hard to believe that some sort of nut and bolt arrangement
    can't be cobbled up.

Go and have a look at yours and suggest a solution.....

The mount for it is kind of T-shaped, with raised collars on the end of
    the T-pieces.

The rubber bits push-fit over the collar and contain a threded insert to
which you bolt the oil cooler.

I've tried zip-ties to hold it in place, but due to the shape of the
    T-piece, they just slip off.

Without drilling said casting, there is no way to bolt it up.

  8. Blimey. Well, I'm still in Chile, but I'll have a look when I get home.
I refuse to believe there isn't some way to bodge it better than cable
    ties....

    Ahhh, forgot you were away.

It's a pretty poor design, but I have 2 new 'bobbins' on order.

    £3.80 each.

Without looking at it, string a load of zip ties together and run them
all the way around the radiator, and get them as tight as they'll go,
from that loop use further zip ties to mount to whatever mounting
    point fits best.
