    VFR400 Reg / Rec

A known weakspot apparently, even more so when not mounted to a solid
surface but cable tied to whatever bit of frame is closest.

The fueling issue we detected having removed the strange washers from
the carb rubbers appears to be non fuel related.

The symptoms (loss of power, eventually leading to cutting out)
prevailed after about 10 mins of spirited riding. Checking the reg /
rec it was, erm, fucking hot.

So, a brief visit to those lovely people at Electrex World resulted in
a "VFR Special" Reg / Rec, a somewhat larger beast with big fins.

This is now mounted to a nice flat ally plate, the other side of which
is mounted the heatsink from hell, liberated from an old X-Box,
complete with heat-tube and secondary heatsink which resides behind the
air intake at the back of the seat.

Should get the whole thing molished back together later. A cursury
inspection of the cabling leading to the said device will also be
    undertaken.

What jolly fun, and the ZXR400 Mobile Shed arrives next week.

With all due respect, matey, that is not a lash-up.

    Nice job.

I have already made the greatest contribution to the fight against climate
change that I can make: I have decided not to breed. Now quit bugging me and
go and talk to the Catholics.
