Could i lay my hands on my haynes manaul? could i buggery, so a quick
'tinternet search on CB500r tyre pressures yielded the info, ie 29
    front and 33 rear rear.

However there was another result where there was a discussion on a
forum that Bridgstone had changed thier recommendation to 36 front and
    40 rear

    anyone else heard of this?

Bridgestone recommend 36 front and 41 rear on the Zed and I can't imagine
why the CB would be much different. I cetainly wouldn't be experimenting
    with 29 snd 33 anyway.

LOL, you've pretty much laid out my plan there, other than you put 6 in
    the wrong place :)

I run mine at 36/40 as recommended by Bridgestone and I have no
    complaints with the handling.

I did try and find my Haynes manual over the weekend but everything's
packed up in boxes at the minute due to building work so I quickly got a
bit grumpy and went and made myself a cup of tea instead.

I recommend a mix of one bag PG tips, one bag Tesco Earl Grey in the pot.
