Neither. Black pudding needs the yolk of a soft-boiled egg all over it.

Mustard every time. Backed up by the lovely folks on Bury Market who sell the
"hot and ready to eat" rings. Always have mustard out as the condiment..
    nothing else in sight.

Oooh, have to make another trip back up North soon to stock up on black pudding
    from Bury market!

As an aside, for those of you in the Mancunia area who are fond of decent dry
cure bacon, try Lord's Butchers in Middleton.

Actually all of the meat from there is fab. One of the very few Chav-free shops
in the town. Recommended by both Rick Stein and Clarissa Dickson-Wright. [1]

[1] The butcher, that is, not the town. [2]

I went off him when he did the voices for Magic Roundabout.

I didn't know he did cooking as well.

It's hardly a "recipe", though, is it? Any clown can make cheese
    sauce.

What other gems has he got? Bacon butties? Egg and chips?

It was Nigella that did a recipe for Marmite sandwiches.

have you read is early-life autobiography, "Toast"? It's good, in a
    wry'n'bitter way.

Well, it wasn't really a recipe, but a method. And it's quite a good
idea, really, particularly in the context she uses: a children's
party, where you need to make a lot.

You mix the butter and the marmite in a bowl, before applying the
mixture to the bread - avoiding the tendency that marmite has of being
unwilling to spread easily on anything but very hard, cold toast.
I dig Slater, I really do. It helps that he can write, of course, and
it helps that he's not pretentious. He likes quality ingredients, of
course, but I think that more and more people are realizing the sense
in that stance. But, when all's said and done, and as he says in one
of his books: it's just making something to eat.
    I don't really like Delia.

Yeah, I sailed through it in an evening, just after moving to Kuwait.
Enjoyed it. Just finished John Sergeant's book "Give me five minutes"
and am heading back to an Ian Fleming Bond novel. Don't know what I
fancy after that. I've got quite a few unread laying around, and
    another Amazon shipment en route.

How about J.G. Ballard - "Millennium People"

Or George Galloway "I'm not the only one"

Worth reading, pretty much the same style as Cocaine Nights,
Super-Cannes and High Rise; which is good IMO since I like the way he
views the possibility of society breaking down and the middle ranks
    revolting.
Yes, he's a personal hero. He's obviously mad as a hatter and quite
delusional in places but more importantly he believes in what he's doing
so as far as I'm concerned he's up there with Dennis Skinner and Tony
Benn. Alan Clark wasa better writer though...
