I thought it might be something like that.
    Fair point.

My current Volvo is the only car I have ever had in which the leather
    seats are unheated.

Fucking shrinks the old 'rhoids fisrt thing in the morning. Luckily
the heater warms up very quickly.

The seats in the S60 are really very good indeed (much like my old V70).

Some years ago I inherited a Nissan Primera SRi as a company car. My
commute was Bicester to Staples Corner. By the time I arrived at work
it felt like my spine had become detached from my pelvis, and was just
the stringy bits holding my lower body on.

Fucking awful thing, devastatingly uncomfortable pile of wank.

Thing is, I'm now coming round to Hog's way of thinking: Kill all the
    ni^W^W^W^W heated gloves.

Oh I don't know. Decide for me.

I've got Oxford grips on my bikes and they're damned good. I've even left
them on overnight and still the bike started next morning, so the current
    draw isn't excessive.

They make a HUGE difference to my fingertips too.
Mine were nice and warm :)

Mine only come on when the engine's running. How do they know?!

Heh. The ones on the Pan do that. They (apparently) look for the higher
voltage present when the alternator's doing its thing.

    <fx: lightbulb>

I wonder whether they'd come off the Pan and fit the GTR?

    Rudy Lacchin says...
If you wire heated grips into the orange accessories circuit wire on a
Suzuki, they will only start working when the engine is running. I found
this out on Sunday morning when I fitted some to my exes SV650. After an
hour of fitting them I turned the igniton on and couldn't feel them
getting any hotter, despite having tested them on a 12V supply on the
bench the day before. Ran the engine and up they came, nice and warm.
