My thanks to the bloke on the CBR1000RR who made the trip from
Cambridge to Hampshire a bit more fun.

Amazing the difference in power between the VTR1000 and the CBR1000.
Poor 'storm had its neck wrung trying to keep up :)

Quite a few bikes out today, a few couriers and a couple of
    Blackbirds.

Glad I doubled up on trousers, gloves and put my thermal liner back in
    the HG jacket :-o

Why? The VTR1000 is nothing but a a squidgy overgrown 750, at best.

eh? Mine's just old school technology. I was surprised just how much
extra there was in his engine than mine, considering they have the
    same cc's.

Feck, just looked at the specs. 1000RR - 172HP ; VTR 110 HP

    That'll explain things :)

Funny, with the torque, it doesn't seem that much slower than the
Blackbird off the mark - looks like I'll have to upgrade this year if
    funds allow.

you'd think it was a 300bhp V8 with the amount of fuel it burns

Is that my old VTR? It had more than 110HP when I had it.

Nope, Niges, It's significantly less powerful than yours.

I'm just waiting for the weather to improve before I clear the bike
    backlog ;)

heh. Even with the pitiful tank, it took over £16 to fill it.

Expensive luxury, travel at the moment :(
