No. I'm not going to argue anypoint. Just confirming information I may
choose to use as ammunition at a later date.

In this thread I'd happily agree with you. I've not come off on diesel
yet. I've slipped on it once or twice to my knowledge (low speed stuff)
but not to the extent of dropping a bike.

Aye, my bindit tucked under the moment the front wheel locked, with
the BBird, at least you can lock both wheels simultaneously with CBS
    :) [1]

    Cheers,

    Paul.

[1] Which causes ones sphincter to tighten, somewhat :)

You will, with no other vehicles involved (-ish) there's no-one else to blame
    ;-)

Glad you came out unscathed (and wallet intact !)

    Cheers,

    Paul.

Some years ago I came off on diesely residue, but I was going too fast
anyway and the diesel was the final straw.

Bent bars, squished exhaust, snapped gear lever and a broken plug and
    cap. Ho-hum.

    Nice [1]

HTF do they see out the front though, with that dirty great helipad in
    front of the bridge ?!

    Cheers,

    Paul.

I dunno. I've driven over it (going round a corner) in one of those
four-wheeled contraptions and had the whole thing flick out sideways.

Equally, I've ridden along a fair old slick of it with no choice but to
keep going (in as straight a line as I could) and everything felt *very*
light, but it kept upright. I remember the occasion because up until
then I wondered what everyone was going on about with the "by the time
you smell it it's too late" thing. Only, it wasn't, IYSWIM.

Either way, I'd prefer not to ride on it if at all possible.
